Choosing decor that fits your style as a couple is a great way to make your wedding unique. If you are known as a couple that likes to travel, find small ways to tie this in with your decor. One idea would be to display globes as your centerpieces, and put a note on each location you have traveled to.

Guestbooks

Instead of using a traditional guest book, which might get stored in a box and not brought out again, you can have guests sign an item that you will be sure to see everyday. If you are both into music, you can have them sign a guitar that can be displayed in your home. Another great idea is to have your guests fill out a card with their favorite advice for marriage. You can put this in a book and display it on your coffee table.
