Outdoor Spring Weddings:  We’ve Got You Covered!

One thing about Colorado is that the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Don’t worry – we have already taken this into consideration for you. For example, our Colorado Room is the perfect plan for a spring wedding reception because of its unique doors that allow it to be an indoor/outdoor space. The doors on the Colorado Room allow access to a beautiful outdoor area with a stream that runs through it. Instead of letting the inclement weather ruin your day, we have plenty of backup plans in place to handle any type of weather. If you choose one of our outdoor venues, and the weather turns on you, we have beautiful indoor ceremony areas that will be a stunning place to say “I do.”

Taller Tiers with Beautiful Spring Florals

Taller tiered wedding cakes will not be going away anytime soon. One new trend that we will see incorporated with these beautiful tall cakes are luscious florals. Make sure to ask your florist to bring a few extra flowers to add to your cake.

Watercolors

Watercolors will be a huge player in spring weddings this year. Couples will incorporate beautiful watercolors into their wedding invitations. For example, some couples are choosing to have an artist do a watercolor of their venue on the wedding invitation. We love that it gives your guests an idea of what your venue looks like.

Pastel Hues

Pastels will be incorporated through many aspects of spring weddings this year. We will see pastels used for table linens, flowers, and even suits! We love the pastel blue suite pictured above.

Bye-Bye Ties

Since spring brings the transition from indoor to outdoor weddings, we will see men shifting towards more casual attire. Men will be getting rid of their ties and trending towards a more relaxed look.

Au Revoir Blush Rose

Blush has been on the scene for quite some time, but it’s time to say goodbye to blush rose and hello to beautiful fresh greenery. You can incorporate greenery into your table-scapes by adding a beautiful pot of fresh herbs. The herbs will also give off a beautiful scent.

Unique Send Offs

The traditional rice toss is a thing of the past. Couples are getting quite creative with their sendoffs. We love when couples incorporate cowbells in their sendoffs or toss lavender into the air. Check out this blog post for a list of all of our Spruce Mountain approved send-offs.

All About The Stations

This spring, couples will continue to opt for more ways to get guests out of their seats. Couples will set up fun taco bars, dessert stations, and drink stations. Incorporating a fun coffee bar into the dessert portion of your wedding is a great way to offer your guests something a little extra. Hire a company that can come in and make lattes or late-night hot chocolate for your guests. You can even ask your bartender to bring some whiskey for guests to add to their coffee to help warm up a cool spring night.

Spring Hairstyles

Messy up-dos will be all the rage this spring. Ask your hairstylist to add some texture to your up-do by adding in a loose braid. You will be thankful your hair is simply swept out of your face. The key to accomplishing this trend is making sure that your up-do is very casual. Your hair should look very soft and romantic.

Seasonal Favors

Send your guests off with a cute potted plant to plant in their garden. They will love seeing your plant grow at their house, and it will be a sweet reminder of your wedding.

Spring is such an exciting time at Spruce Mountain. It is truly the perfect time to have your wedding. We hope these 2018 spring wedding trends inspire you!
