So ask what the backup plan actually is. Where does the ceremony move if it rains? How fast can they make that switch happen? Will guests be okay if it turns cold, and is there a tent or covered space if you need one?

Before you sign anything, be clear on the money side. How much is the deposit? When are payments actually due? What's the cancellation policy, and does the deposit come back if plans change? Is there any risk of overtime fees creeping in?
